A square 45mm skeleton automatic that isn't trying to look like anything else on your wrist.

The BG6601 puts the movement out front. You watch the balance wheel turn through the middle of the dial, framed by a colored chapter ring and a power reserve register that shows how much wind is left in it. The case is a tonneau-square in 316L steel with four exposed screws at the corners and a fluted flank picked out in the accent color. At 45mm across and 15mm thick it has real presence. This is not a watch that hides under a cuff, and it isn't meant to.

Inside is the BT16-01G, a fully automatic movement built off a Citizen automatic. 28 jewels, 21,600 vibrations an hour, 42 hours of reserve. Leave it in a drawer over a long weekend and it's still running Monday. No battery, ever.

The back is engraved rather than stamped, with a hollowed window in the middle so you can watch the rotor swing.

Anti-glare sapphire on the front. It takes a scrape without carrying the scar. Super-LumiNova on the hands and markers, so the dial still reads in a dark bar. 3 ATM, so rain and hand-washing are fine. Don't swim in it.

Italian calfskin strap on a pin buckle, 22mm, sized to fit a 165 to 185mm wrist.
