Every watch has a condition
One Good Watch can carry new, new-old-stock, pre-owned, and vintage watches.
The product page will identify the condition of the specific watch whenever applicable. Photos are part of the description, especially for vintage and pre-owned pieces.
New
A new watch has not been previously worn as a customer-owned watch.
Packaging, protective film, tags, manuals, or accessories can vary by product. Everything included with the watch will be shown or described on the product page.
New old stock
New-old-stock watches are older watches that were never regularly worn.
They can still show signs of storage, handling, aging, strap deterioration, faded packaging, or battery replacement. Age alone can affect materials even when a watch has not been worn.
Pre-owned
A pre-owned watch has had a previous owner.
It can show scratches, marks, strap wear, bracelet wear, or other signs of use. We photograph and describe significant condition details as clearly as possible.
Vintage
Vintage watches have history.
Age-related wear, patina, marks, replacement components, previous service, and timekeeping variation can all be part of a vintage watch. That character is often the point, but it should never be a surprise.
Vintage watches should not be assumed to have modern accuracy, water resistance, shock resistance, or power reserve unless the listing specifically says otherwise.
Movements and function
We describe the observed function of each watch when applicable.
Mechanical watches can gain or lose time. Power reserve and accuracy can change with position, temperature, wearing habits, and service history. Quartz watches can eventually require a new battery or service.
Observed function is not a permanent guarantee against future service needs.
