What's the Difference Between a Field Watch and a Pilot Watch?

Field watches are built for ground use. Simple, legible, and tough, originally made for soldiers.

Pilot watches are built for aviators instead. They often run larger, with oversized crowns for gloved hands and sometimes a rotating bezel for flight timing.

Both prioritize legibility above all else. Pilot watches just tend to run bigger and busier on the dial.
