No. Daily wear is actually good for an automatic, since wrist motion is what keeps it wound and accurate.
For quartz watches, daily wear doesn't affect the movement at all. It just keeps running on its own.
The only real downside is normal cosmetic wear on the strap and case. That's just part of owning a watch, not a warning sign.
