Carnival Moonphase Automatic Watch, Steel Bracelet
$299.00
A moonphase, Roman numerals, subdials and a steel bracelet. The full dress-watch vocabulary, in black.
Why It Stands Out
- A moonphase automatic under $300 is not a common sentence
- Black dial and Roman numerals is the safest formal combination there is
- Bracelet included, so no strap purchase required to wear it out
- Additional subdials beyond the moonphase

Fit and Wear
A moonphase disc completes its cycle in roughly 29.5 days, so a well-set one drifts by about a day every two and a half years. Black dial on polished steel is the most formal thing in this drop and the easiest to wear with a jacket. Treat it as splash-resistant until we confirm a rating.
Colin's Take
Moonphase is the complication that makes a watch feel expensive. It tracks something nobody needs tracked, which is exactly the point. Carnival put one on a black Roman-numeral dial with additional subdials and hung it on a polished steel bracelet.
