Fit and Wear

The 24 cm band length covers most adult wrists with room at either end of the buckle, and leather gives a little as it breaks in, so a first-week fit is not the final fit. A minimalist dial like this is quiet enough for an office and plain enough to wear with a jacket, which is the main argument for it over a sportier chronograph. Black on black is the safest of the three. The rose gold and brown pairing is the one that reads as dressed up. Keep any of them away from water: leather bands and a 30 m rating both point the same direction.

Colin's Take

This is the cheapest watch in the shop that does not look cheap, and the dial layout is the whole reason. Most quartz chronographs at this money fill every empty space on the dial and end up looking busy. This one leaves the space alone. Buy it as a first good-looking watch, or as the one you wear when you do not want to worry about the watch. If you want a mechanical movement or a sapphire crystal, spend more elsewhere in the shop, because you will not find either at this price.
