Fit and Wear

40mm and 11mm thick is the middle of the road in the best sense: large enough to look deliberate on most wrists, slim enough to wear all day. The 22mm strap is wide relative to the case, which is what gives the watch its blocky, planted look. Leather and water do not mix, so treat the 30 m rating as rain cover only.

Colin's Take

Chronographs are the hardest thing to buy cheaply, because the sub-dials are usually fake and the case is usually a soft round blob copying something Swiss. This one gets the case right. The angular lines and the wide 22mm strap give it a stance that most fifty-dollar watches do not have, and the quartz chronograph underneath actually runs. Buy it as a first chronograph, or as the one you wear when you would rather not risk the expensive one. Take the Black if you only want one, it holds the sharp lines better.
