Fit and Wear

40 mm with a 10 mm case wears smaller than the number suggests, because there is no bezel eating into the dial and no thickness lifting it off the wrist. It suits a shirt. The Roman numeral black dial on the black strap is the version that passes as formal; the white dial on brown is the warmer, more casual one. PU leather will not develop a patina the way real leather does, but it also will not stretch out on you.

Twenty dollars buys a watch that tells the time and looks fine doing it. That is the pitch and I am not going to dress it up. What I like is that YAZOLE resisted printing a fake chronograph or a dead sub-dial on the front to make it look expensive. Buy this as a first watch, a second strap colour, or a beater you leave in a bag. Skip it if you want something with heft, because an alloy case at this price feels light in the hand and always will.
